Credit score
CIBIL score
A number from 300 to 900 that shows lenders how reliably you repay loans and cards.
Credit bureaus (TransUnion CIBIL, Experian, Equifax, CRIF High Mark) work it out from your repayment history, how much of your card limits you use, the age and mix of your loans, and recent applications. Around 750 or more is usually considered good and gets better loan rates.
Paying on time, using less than about a third of card limits and not applying for many loans at once help most.
