How SIP returns are calculated
A SIP invests a fixed amount every month. Each instalment grows for the months it stays invested, so the future value is FV = P × [((1 + i)n − 1) ÷ i] × (1 + i), where P is the monthly amount, i the monthly return (yearly ÷ 12) and n the number of months.
Mutual fund returns aren't fixed — this assumes a steady average return. Starting early matters most: the last few years of compounding add the largest amounts.
Results are estimates for illustration only, not financial advice. Banks and schemes may round, apply TDS or use slightly different day counts — confirm figures with your bank or employer.
