Why step up your SIP

Your income usually rises every year, but a flat SIP doesn't. A step-up (or top-up) SIP raises the monthly amount by a fixed percentage each year — often 5–10%, in line with salary hikes — and can build a much larger corpus for the same starting amount.

Most fund houses let you set an automatic yearly top-up when you start the SIP.

Results are estimates for illustration only, not financial advice. Banks and schemes may round, apply TDS or use slightly different day counts — confirm figures with your bank or employer.
